New Horizon Hotel, Boni Mandaluyong

Remarks:
1. Hotel Rate (Standard room): $60 (approx. Php2800) with Breakfast buffet for two
2. A huge room for standard rate. Two twin beds, a sofa set, cable tv, dresser with chair, lamps, and another mini-round table with tea-making facilities near the window.
3. Parking area is sufficient (Mt. Apo Street entrance)
4. Housekeeping is prompt and rooms are well-kept.
5. Room service: 6AM to 12midnight

WiFi is available only in select rooms, so it's best to mention this upon check-in so you will be given a room with WiFi access. This is not free. There's a charge of around Php100/day (or something).

A stocked mini fridge is included, thermos with instant coffee sachets and cups.

The bathroom went for the standard design of marbled floor and walls. Though the door's inches from commode, the bathroom counter and bathtub are adequate in size. An anti-slip mat is placed in the bath tub. Pairs of toothbrushes, shampoos, soaps, and ear buds are provided. Two bottles of mineral water are replenished each day.


It was Christmas season during our stay. Even with classic colors, the ambiance was cheerful with the soft blast of Christmas songs. The elevators servicing all floors are fast, though modest in size. There's a seating area with telephone. The corridors are carpeted, well-maintained and well lit.

The complimentary breakfast buffet spread has a lot of choices. Bread choices, porridge, rice, cereals, about 4 viands (ulam), sushi, and the interesting grilled tomato with cheese. A few, but really good desserts and fruits are available. There's a separate table for juices, coffee, and milk.

The grilled tomato with mushroom and cheese was the best! I would go back just for that. Hope they don't remove it from the menu.

Dessert
