For a cheap yet classy Singaporean fix, head on to Kopi Roti. They serve Singaporean specialties like Kopi Bun, Roti Toast, and Kaya Toast. Their tea with milk is also effective, but the soft boiled eggs are quite vague. It has white pepper and black soya sauce on top, which I cannot really understand the taste. Maybe I was just served a bad one.
Set D: 4pcs Roti Kaya Toast and Kopi or Tea: Php90
Kopi Bun: Php40
Soft Boiled Eggs: Php30
For a really awesome Kaya Toast, I would recommend the Orchard Road resto in Megamall. Their Kaya Toast is super puny, about 3/4 of a bread for Php50, but it was so worth it.
The interiors of Kopi Roti is relaxed and non-intimidating. It's like a cafe without the lattes and fraps. Although tiny in space, it's homey and you will know that food and service is good, as a lot of people are in.
