This joint is a leveled up carinderia. Petra & Pilar sells some homemade products- market cafe style; seats are plenty, it's airconditioned, about 5-6 parking slots available, and offers few outdoor dining tables with umbrellas.
It's bright inside, and customers line up the counter to pick their choice of freshly cooked meals. Condiments are available in clusters on a side counter. It's a self-service eatery, but no sweat, the cool aircon take care of that.
Some choice decorations clash a bit, but their spot and accent lights are effective. A separate counter, with dark wooden shelvings, is beautified by a chandelier, select wines, breads, and oil assortments.
MENU
Cobbler ala Calabarese: Php180
Porkloin with Caramelized Onion: Php150
A classy name means double the price, I guess. In fairness, servings can be for sharing. Dishes seem less greasy than usual cafeteria joints, or jolly jeep meals. If you are hungry from cybergaming at nearby iHooked, Petra & Pilar could be one of the more sensible places to eat. Although another cheap stop Mang Inasal is only steps away.
