Abe

Abe promises to excite patrons with their own twists on classic Filipino cuisines. The Abe branch in Serendra is sort of circular, owning the curved corner of one wing. The brown, sepia-defaulted interior is successful in transforming guests to historical times.

The couches are, of course, the best seats in the house, but middle tables are fine as well. Each setting is paired with ample-sized wooden chairs made with a mix of plush cushion and native materials. The waiters are polite, attentive, and numerous. A cluster of them is always coming from the kitchen, or slicing all over the place when the resto is full.

Outer seating area is limited, but utilized a lot especially during weekends when the place is normally packed. Red umbrellas provide shade from the harsh sun, and repels direct breeze by night-time. Smokers rejoice in this area as well. It faces the Serendra fountain landmark.

Abe Mall of Asia branch faces the ocean and shares an inner pathway with Cafe Adriatico. You can also swap menus and sit anywhere between the two restos. It's practically one big area. Comfort room is also shared.

Remarks:
  • I could easily say that Abe is more reasonable than Lorenzo's Way (another LJC Restaurant) in terms of food prices, serving quantity, and taste.
  • They have the BEST baby squid, hands-down. That's pretty much the only dish we order each time we come here.
