Best for backpackers and emergency-overnighters, GV Pension House is one of the more cheap go-to places in many cities all over Visayas. Rooms are well-maintained, walls are polish-painted, en-suite bathroom, cable tv, aircon, vanity with chair, and closet are provided for a comfortable stay.

Upon entry, tall stairs are usually the means of transport. Some branches have elevators. Corridors are kept clean nonetheless.

Common areas look decent and utilitarian. There's a public tv with plastic dining tables and chairs. Some snacks and drinks can be bought at the reception area like noodles, chips, soda.

The concierge is accomodating and polite. Some branches would ask for Php100 deposit for the key. It will be returned upon check-out.

Prices start at Php500 per night, going to Php 550 and Php600 for bigger rooms. Amenities are similar. Bed matresses are bit hard and lumpy, but surely suitable for a few nights. Flat sheets are quite thin, but clean. Towels are provided per person at no extra cost.

Bathrooms are small but tiled. The trio of shower, toilet and sink are present, and positioned in a very strategic way in such a small space.

A tubeless toiler paper and a couple of plain soaps are complimentary

Most rooms have the same design, with varying window curtains.

For every GV Pension House, location is never a problem. Although there's no room service, it's usually situated in city centers with nearby 24/7 convenience stores, food stops, and jeep or bus routes.
