Room Review for
Evergreen Place Hotel Bangkok
Evergreen Place Bangkok is certainly a good find. They give free discount codes on their Facebook page, so the Deluxe Suite for 2-pax we got for THB2900 came down to about THB2500 per night. On top of that, when we checked-in at the hotel reception, they upgraded us to a Junior Suite which is good for 4 pax. No need to pay extra for an added mattress. We really, really appreciate their warm treatment. The staff and management are great!

The hotel room we got was clean, pristine, and
well-designed. Everything in its place, the subtle lighting is
comforting, the thick, soft mattress was relaxing, and A/C was working
properly. |
The corridors have wooden floors, with ample lighting, and simple touches of flowers and graphic accents. |
Because the building used to be an apartment-condo converted into a hotel, every room has its own kitchen, living-dining area, en-suite bathroom, and terrace. |
The living area is just opposite the queen sized-bed, separated by the LCD television |
The hotel staff provided an elevated roll-away bed with really cushy mattress, complete with pillow, bed cover, and comforter, for the extra person. The room is standard for 2-pax only. |
I love the neutral colors. Everything looks orderly and while subdued, it's quite sophisticated as well. The plump metallic pillows on the sofa adds a homey feel to the unit. |
The large LCD TV has a slot for memory cards, and is connected to a DVD player. Cable channels are included like AXN, Star World, etc.. |
The telephone is useful, next to a table lamp. The room also has a couple of available elec sockets, so charging your phones or cameras will not be a problem. |
View from the terrace at night time - Bangkok city. Siam Paragon is on the left, by walking distance. Quite convenient actually. |
Free mineral water daily |
Snacks (surcharge) |
Free coffee, tea sachets |
The kitchen is stocked with basic kitchen items. These plates, cups, pans, and utensils surely came in handy when we opted to eat late night or poured some tea early morning. A microwave oven, mini cooktop stove, and refrigerator are also provided. We accidentally broke one bowl and they charged us fairly for it, around THB30. |
The bathroom has a wooden sliding door, quite oriental, but inside everything is tiled in bluish-gray tones. The commode has a bidet, the shower heater works perfectly well. Toilet paper rolls are provided for free. |
These combination of pandan shower gel and shampoo-conditioner are excellent and compliments from the hotel. The product smells great, very bubbly after lather. The hotel requests that guests do not take these with them, instead buy new bottles at the reception. It's quite pricey for me so I didn't buy, but I used these generously. |
Another thoughtful touch is the glasses (for teeth-brushing) on bathroom counter. |
Other standard hotel items are shower caps, toothbrushes, hand soap |
Umm.... reminder @ the toilet |
No-smoking inside the rooms |
Useful phone numbers and other hotel info and packages |
Grilled Pork Chop with Apple Sauce: THB220 |
Stir-fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts: THB140 |
French Onion Soup and Mushroom Soup with garlic bread and butter: THB90 each |
Fish Fillet Sea Bass with Cream Sauce: THB260 |
Steamed Sea Bass in Soy Sauce: THB160 |
No problems whatsoever with taste, though that varies on personal opinion. I liked their food, well flavored and not bland. Plus they try to include as much veggies as possible. Guests can pay up-front upon food arrival, or charge-to-room and pay upon check-out at the front desk. Tips are welcome.
