The Gustavian

The Gustavian, Ayala Center Cebu:
Gustavian's outdoor dining area at Ayala Center Cebu
It's high noon and the place was deserted. It was Sinulog festival and I hightailed to Ayala after walking the Osmena strip for 6 hours taking photos of Sinulog participants.
Quite happy to say, I literally got the whole place to myself.
I reckon this big area could easily contain some rowdy crowds come night time.
Very old English with the cabinets and white flowers.
I do like the quasi-Euro design and the combination of bamboo chairs with cushions.
Some assorted items are out of place. It appears that the design was applied only halfway. This back portion of the resto has some colorful knickknacks, sweets and the like.
Attendants tend to hub over their bar Taproom and disappear for a while. But each time I need them they come instantly.
Well-built wash area. Roomy and with complete amenities.
Wine bottle per table. I left mine alone.
Fresh Iced Tea: Php75
Gustavian's Panfried Cream Dory: Php350
Free toothpicks yey
Serving size is good for two. Their iced tea was awesomely large. I actually expected the price to be steeper but it was more than worth the meal.
From the side by side restaurants in Ayala Terraces, do try to stop by Gustavian and support this homegrown joint.
