We went and inquired on many pension houses and hotels to no avail. Fortunately, there was one room left at Pongos Hotel! |
And we're glad we landed on this lovely hotel. It's newly renovated, and the neat and orderly design looks freshly painted. |
Interiors seem like a modern take on Fil-Hispanic ambiance of some sort. The curling grills and running mouldings are stamps of grandeur. Tall curtains and soft lights add drama to the lobby. |
The lay-out is more like a huge house. Living area here, dining area there. But no hating, we love Pongos Hotel! |
The dining area is open to the inner stretch of the hotel building, as well as the parking area. |

Remarks:
- Pongos Hotel has no official website (as of press time), so we had no idea how much their rooms cost. Luckily it wasn't too high, and with the large room, we truly enjoyed our stay.
- The A/C was functional, there's room service (I think) but will limited hours. WiFi works, but it would depend on your room location.
- Hotel was near ATMs and a thai massage spa is just around the corner. Overall, it's a safe place and staff were pleasant.
