Romulo Cafe is a classic Filipino restaurant that feels quite political in a gastronomic way. |
There are about 5 parking slots, 7 or 8 if double parked. It gets packed during lunch hour, even on weekdays. |
Pastries on display under the stairs |
Descend a little to reach another dining area, passing by the toilets. |
Very clean design. This proves black and white can be dramatic as well. |
Roomy comfort room, with double vanity. |
The bar by the corner faces the bigger dining area. Shelves extend to the high ceiling, with only lighting and small potted plants for enhancement |
The high ceilings showcase exposed trusses, with luxurious droplights adding sparkle. Framed photos of former politicians and the like fill the walls. |
I doubt you would actually eat your meal on the bar, but it is permitted if you wish. |
Love the round shrub pot treatment per table. It adds color to the whole scene. Black table cloths flow over the tables, topped with white plates and napkins. |

- We definitely enjoyed the appetizer, Cheese and Vigan Longganisa Dumplings. Then the Mongo Soup was awesome as well. Garlic rice was nice Sadly, that's where our marvel ended.
- The fish was bland. And we waited about an hour for it. The baby squid was also lacking flavor. Abe's baby squid still lords over others.
- What irked us most was the waiting. They seem to have forgotten some of our orders, which caused the delay. It sucked because we were enjoying ourselves in the beginning.
- The resto itself is lovely, clean, and exquisite. Servers may need more training. The one who took our order even wrote it down, and repeated them to us, except they forgot to place the order.
