Gran Prix Manila

Gran Prix Hotel Manila is one of the cheaper alternatives for an impromptu all-nighter. Most hotels in Mabini strip and Malate area range from 1800+ to 2000+, while Gran Prix has a Php1500 room without breakfast. Their rooms are decent, with all the usual amenities like TV, AC, en-suite bathroom with hot water, and room service.
Location-wise, it's a few minutes walk to Robinsons Mall, with banks left and right for your ATM needs. Also walking distance to Mont Albo UN Ave branch.
The hotel lobby is simple but functional. Pops of colors add a modern touch to the area. You can also park in front of the hotel, but it's limited with 2-3 slots only. Guard and concierge are 24/7.
Namayan Filipino Restaurant can be accessed via the elevator, or stairs.
Corridor. A bit outdated, but clean and functional.
Hallway leading to rooms.
Superior Room: Php1500 without breakfast
The tiny room was cozy even without any window. The bed faces the TV and bathroom.
Table and chair by the corner, with room phone, TV and AC remote controls, and 2 complimentary bottled water.
Reasonable sized bathroom, with good water supply and heated system. Bidet was available, thank God. Towels and basic toiletries provided.
Toothbrushes, toothpastes, soaps, shampoo packets

Remarks:
  • We actually enjoyed our stay here. It was a small accommodation but clean. Everything you need for a night or two are within your reach, if not provided in your room.
  • I like that they accept walk-ins, and would give you the lowest rate available if there were any.
