The Suites at Calle Nueva is a charming little hotel in Bacolod City, tucked from behind the main roads. It's quiet, pretty, and right in the middle of residential area. But just walk a few meters to the street's end and you can see the commercial roads with jeepney routes. Taxis and tricycles seem familiar with the hotel and can easily drop you off at the entrance.
Hotel exterior. I'm not sure if there's valet parking or back parking.
As you enter, there's a long, semi-narrow receiving area to your left, and the hotel cafe to your right. This extends to the restaurant kitchen, where the common toilet is located.

After you've sorted your check-in details, you're taken to a courtyard-type corridor which leads to the rooms.
2nd floor accommodation facing the front street.
Standard Single Room: Php1000 with complimentary set breakfast. But, I was upgraded to a Standard Double Room with no extra cost! Great customer service!
Standard Double Room: Php1500 with complimentary set breakfast for 2
I stayed at this Double Room and I loved every moment. Too bad I had no companion. There's cabled TV, closet, good AC, en-suite bathroom, complimentary bottled water, and room service
Closet has plenty of hangers and extra pillow/duvet
Bathroom was nice and clean. Water heater works well, there's bidet so yey! Toilet roll, shampoo and soap bars provided.
Hotel marked hygiene kits
Free bottled water

Breakfast was lovely. There's actually a buffet spread instead of just a set plate.
The glass arched windows set behind some shrubbery extends the garden-like ambiance inside.
Options include rice, eggs, ham, bacon, breads (toaster), spreads, cereals, juices, salad toppings, coffee/tea.
My humble buffer plate. I went back several times to refill.
Grilled Rosemary Chicken: Php180, via room service
Remarks:
- Very awesome service! Mainly because they upgraded my room, but also the warm staff, their quick-response when needed, and just the overall friendliness without being creepy.
Facilities were good, not posh enough to be a boutique. But everything's solid, functional, and clean. All necessities covered and provided. - Location-wise, you can walk to SM (about 10-15mins), there are banks/ATMs nearby, restaurants/fast food.
- Bacolod's night life is ever so energetic. Late-night bars and restaurants with lavish interiors certainly proves that Bacolod is now a developed city and upping its night scene.
- The Suites at Calle Nueva is definitely highly recommended!
