Tori Ichi is a newly opened Japanese restaurant at Mall of Asia North Wing, near IMAX. Colours were vivid from afar, it certainly looks promising, and sophisticated, with words like fine ingredients and authenticity following suit. There are families of crate tables and chairs outside, for extra seating, or perhaps take-away orders. Inside, there's actually a lot of seating areas.
Lovely reception area
Cubby couches for better intimate dining. Lowered ceiling, upper curtains, and lamps on posts reminisce traditional Japanese eateries. Mezzanine can be utilized for private gatherings perhaps.
Akachōchin lanterns hang from top ceiling. I've grown partial to Japanese and Korean cuisines because of their small quantities and bento style plating, so I was keen on trying Tori Ichi.
Egg Rice: Php90
Grilled Pacific Saury: Php210
Hourensou Bacon (Sauteed spinach with bacon): Php125
Complimentary house tea and deep fried caramelized anchovies (dilis)
