Marriott Hotel Cebu

Marriott Hotel in Cebu City is definitely one of the luxurious hotels I've been to. Because I can't afford it, I shared a room with a friend. It was Sinulog season and most hotels were fully booked. Expensive hotels offered 'promos', which did not exactly have lower rates, but instead gave more services and freebies to guests. Located in the middle of Ayala complex, Marriott Cebu is a hop away to Ayala Center. They have a x-ray scanners on their entrances so that was great.
Lobby is polished and perfect.
Bar at the lobby. I did not get to try this as I was busy getting ready for Sinulog parade. My companion was also occupied. She spent 8 hours at the spa and got all possible face, body, hair treatment she could lol.
Anyone who's familiar with these big hotels know that there's basically surcharge for everything. Good thing our stay was company-paid. Standard Room with breakfast for 2: Php7442 (Agoda)
Still, you cannot deny the difference between small hotels or even boutique hotels and these large franchise ones. Marriott's room was spacious, the bed was humongous! Thread-count was probably by the thousands. The blackout curtains were heavy and clean. Cleverly-positioned light switches next to the bed was nice, but the sockets were still near the floor. WiFi was good.
Bathroom was gorgeous. The black counter really works, I see that a lot. Bath towels provided, glasses, hand towels, toiletries. Unfortunately, there's no bidet. Don't knowhow that skipped their design team. Bidet is essential.
Shower was awesome. You can also have a bath in the tub.
Complimentary toiletries.

Remarks:
The day before the Sinulog parade, hotel staff came to our room and gave us a goodie bag filled with items you can use during Sinulog - fan, brim hat, trinkets, other items I don't remember.
