You will love the dining experience in Kimukatsu, located at Century City Mall. From the outside, it looks quite narrow. But then you enter a corridor, and see these partitions designed like house walls. It's practically has a tiny village inside. The black, shiny walls feel cool and warm at the same time. Several areas are separated with archways, some mimicking cherry blossoms, others have traditional lanterns act as streetlights.
Black corridor
One dining area featuring all-black tables and chairs. This can made into a room by closing in the vertical blinds.
Couches housed within a lovely cove.
Colorful artworks adorn the wall.

Love the warrior plating, feels like I'm fueling up for battle.

Remarks:
  • My mom loves their Potato Salad. She's very hard to please with these food as she's very partial to Filipino dishes. But she swears by their salad and said it's the best she's had. So I'd be recommending their Potato Salad.

Luk Yuen is one of the underrated Chinese restos in the metro. But from the moment we took our seats, they delivered each meal with flavorful taste. My mom was only too happy to have found their chicken noodle, and even prefers it more than Ramen Ron.We usually visit the Cash & carry branch, and they've renovated it since. Now looking more updated, clean Chinese resto. Not much focus on their decors, just comfortable seats and hot meals.

Floating Island Restaurant is now located on the 2nd Floor of Makati Med's new wing. It used to be on the 3rd floor, with an old interior design, but acceptable nonetheless. This time it's upped its lighting, walls, tables and overall ambiance. They also changed their menu. I missed their 'chicken with broccoli and cashews' dish. There is a cafeteria in the hospital (1st floor, ask the guard) which serves decent food for less than half the price. But Floating Island is like 'casual dining' which makes you really appreciate it, even while in a hospital. I suspect this will be a new trend in hospitals, like how St. Luke's in The Fort is gearing itself. Now there's also Dairy Queen and Pizza Hut in Makati Med.
The place looks cozier and perhaps with the same number of tables. It gets crowded during peak hours: lunch and dinner. But usually you can grab a seat somewhere. They offer Lunch for the Day set meals complete with rice, soup, tea, dessert/fruit. There are often just 2 sets of these per day, written on the blackboard outside, so check it out before entering.

A few steps from Waltermart, where the other mass of people head after church. The place is bright, cozy, clean, and safe. These are the renovated interiors at Don Bosco Makati branch.
