Legend Villas

Truly this Filipiniana inpired creation is among one of the best hotels in the city. The location is perfect, hidden behind the tall scrapers of Pioneer, but still conveniently near Edsa and just across the bridge to Makati. Legend Villas' humble exclusivity is very welcoming, safe, and warm.
We decided to spend another Christmas at a hotel and we picked Legend Villas because of the proximity and the price. A standard room with breakfast for 2 will only set you back for around Php3000 per night. The lobby was a sight to behold, as it is holidays.
The endless glimmering gold against brown and mirrors and glass walls against wood is simply rustic and fitting. A few tables in the lobby are topped with local game boards, including a sungka.
The public toilet behind the concierge is clean and well-lit.
It seems every inch of the hotel is thought of. Even the mirrors with thin white lace borders, or the bridge-like low stairs going to the restaurant add up to a lot of other designs, but still does not make the place look bulky or too much.
Soft lights surround the hotel, and variations of lighting effects can be seen at night, inside and outside the Legend Villas.
The hotel is composed of clusters or interconnected 3-storey buildings. Parking is plenty. You can even park near or just outside your own room, if you happen to get one of the 1st floor rooms in this wing:
Legend Villas offer WiFi, but the signal is best received if you are in any room within the same building as the concierge.
Public seats are placed in nooks and off spaces for guests. The continuity of the design, color, and taste is never broken throughout the hotel.
I'm not sure if elevator is available for any of the buildings. I only saw stairs going up to the 3rd floor. But maybe a lift is somewhere else I just never got to see.
The swimming pool is modest, but always busy. There is a lifeguard on duty until 6PM.
The pool seems to be maintained well.
A mini whirlpool or kiddie pool is on the side. A small gym is also available for guests.
Public toilet near the pool is surprisingly very dry. I didn't see any shower stalls here, only toilets and wash area.

Legend Villas Superior Room with breakfast for 2: Php2970
For one of their cheapest rooms, it's a definite steal for Php3k. There is a Php1000 deposit upon check-in, but you will get it back once you check out. The room has its own thermos, tea, coffee, and guests are given a bottled water daily (per guest).
Some complimentary soap, shampoos, toothbrush/paste. A few hangers in the closet, and extra pillows.
Hair dryer, and their creative door sign: Please Make Up Room (Broom) or Do Not Disturb (Bed)
A cable tv on top of the mini fridge. Phone and bible on side table desk.
The bathroom is equipped with a roomy shower with hot water and thankfully, a bidet.

Lola Maria's
The hotel restaurant called Lola Maria provides a lot of choices on breakfast buffet.
Although their pastry and cakes are limited. Room service is quite fast and attendants are very efficient and polite. I think their Room Service is up to 4AM or 5AM. It's very convenient.
The same brown and red motif runs in the restaurant. The pucka white ceiling is enhanced with choice ornate lightings and slim moulding. The uniformity is part of the solid design.
Buffet choices range from cold cuts, cheeses, salted eggs:
Soup, porridge, around 4-5 viands like corned beef, longganisa, fish, tocino, sausage, etc:
Local sweets, cereals, milk:
Muffins, cupcakes, bread choices:
Salad, fruits:
An egg and pancake station wherein a cook will take your order and serve you fresh eggs (any style) and mini pancakes:

The best notable thing about Legend Villas is how professional and attentive their staff are. The hotel amenities are modern, complete, and surely worth the price. Legend Villas is one of the best hotels I've stayed in so far in the city.
