| Quite new and sparkly, La Villa Princesa is designed like an Oriental boutique hotel. Wooden treatment everywhere, varnish finishes, and oak colors. |

| We arrived night time. The place is bright, with a lone guard manning the front desk. He gave us our room key and informed us, quite well, regarding basic hotel rules. |

| The front desk has bamboo wall paper covers and dark counters. There's often FM music from a local station booming in the lobby. |

| The classical dark wooden materials need no accents at all. The minimalist style is both elegant and solid. |

| Wooden plank floors, ceiling and walls are lined with table and chairs all around the corridor. |
There are no tables and chairs inside the rooms, but there are plenty a few steps from each doors.

| The courtyard is open-air and simply manicured and landscaped with select plants. |

| The hotel is conveniently roadside, a few steps away from Balinsasayaw Restaurant, which closes around 10PM. |

| A few seating areas in front of the property is open for guests or waiting companions. Local tricycles also park here, quite accommodating for guests. Mind the fixed price rates they give, though. |

| Complimentary breakfast consists of toasts, heart-shaped sunny side-up egg, banana, pineapple jam and butter, and choice of coffee or milo, etc. |

Remarks:
- We got a discount voucher for our package, but La Villa Room Rates for Triple Room is Php1900 per night, with breakfast for 3.
- I like the homey feel of the place, and the friendly and trusting staff. But with an open half-wall in front, and a single security guard keeping watch of the hotel at night, I suggest guests double check their room locks before retiring.
- Location is good. It sits at the backside of main roads, but a lot of passenger tricycles pass by the area, and it's only a few streets away from downtown and other major city spots.
- They give complimentary airport rides to and from the hotel, upon arrival and leaving, with a van. Just inform the front desk your scheduled flight and they will arrange a pick-up for your party.
- I would recommend this, considering this is the only hotel I've tried in Puerto Princesa. It's decent enough, with modern amenities, subtle elegant decor, and a very tropical ambiance. Relaxing and good vibes all throughout.
