Marine Garden Beachfront Inn in El Nido offers modest accommodation at the perfect location. |
The beach extends to the hotel courtyard. |
The bright yellow door humbly welcomes guests from the sea to the sands. |
Everywhere you turn, a picturesque view beckons for a moment of appreciation. |
A row of single and bench seats line the beachfront of Marina Garden |
At night, the cluster of rooms keep safe with bright lights and the roving hotel guard. |
Best place to chill for a nightcap |
The rooms are basic. Save for the colorful treatment, everything is standard. The mattresses are, of course, not luxuriously thick, but proved to be efficient for a few nights stay. |
A vanity and an extra chair completes the room amenities. |
Bathroom is not miniscule. No bidet. I think there was no hot water that day, though there should've been for the room we got. But no worries coz we're all troopers. |
Complimentary safeguard soap for the guests' perusal. |
The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner service. But it closes around 8PM for dinner. There are rows of resto bars on the beach anyway. |
Some light blue chairs are paired with wooden tables. The place is small so there are extra dining tables and seats on the beach. |

- We paid Php1900 per night for 3-pax for the Country Villa Townside room, which also offers breakfast good for 3. Rates vary on the number of guests. For more info on rates please visit their official page.
- Service was good. From reservation (calls, emails) the staff was accommodating and replied promptly. We asked for another toilet paper roll and the front desk attendant gladly gave us one.
- If you rent a boat for island hopping, boats can park in front of the hotel, which is very convenient as long walks on the sand (in the morning or noon-time) will be quite strenuous and sweat inducing.
- From the Bus Terminal, tricycle drivers know Marina Garden so there would be no problem getting there. Electricity is limited. It runs around 3 or 4PM until 6AM only, I think. So best charge every gadget at night and swim or frolic daytime.
- Recommended? I would say yes. I'm not sure if there's another hotel right on the beach, with standard rooms (not shackle-designed, wooden-slit fan rooms), and offers complimentary breakfast, at such decent rates.
