The Mandara Spa

The Mandara Spa is located at McKinley Park Residences in The Fort. It was a nice place. With high ceilings and quiet corridors, quite different from other establishments renting a space inside condos. Although parking might be tricky. There's a public parking area across the building so we chose to park there instead of at the building parking, if they ever allow it for guests. There's also Tully's Cafe at the ground floor which was really convenient for waiting parties.

The decor is very soothing, dark, in a sophisticated-almost-going-overboard style. The strategic lighting and accent bulbs, with aromatic rooms and large flowers, it was a very nice break from the outside.

It's better to have reservations, but walk-ins are accepted.

Corridor is elegantly lit and designed. Each door leads to tiny rooms for private sessions.

This is their machine for facial services. Because of limited space, it waits on the side, next to large foot massage chairs, until it's needed.

One of the private rooms for body massage, I love the accented wall, floor lamp, and subdued light. And the clean sheets smell nice too.

Area comfort room, where you can change clothes or shower (before body scrub or massage). Stocked with necessary amenities for guests' perusal.

Hot shower and toilet. This bathroom is not en-suite for any room. It can be used by all guests.

Overall, it was a nice experience. The staff were friendly, with very subtle up-selling, but still nice. Location-wise, if you don't live or work nearby, it would be a bit of a hassle. You can bring a car or cab, but it will be a sole destination coz it's nowhere near Market!Market! or Aura (not walking-distance at all). But the Fort Bus passes their way I think, so that's a plus!
