Royale House Travel Inn & Suites

The Royale House Travel Inn & Suites along C.M. Recto Street in Davao City perfectly fitted our 'short vacation, limited budget' theme. Its location is right in the middle of the city; jeepneys pass by the Recto street; walking distance to the local museum and church; security is not a problem as the hotel has 24/7 guard as well as nearby establishments; ATMs are few steps away.
Lobby is bright, with decorative dividers that separate the waiting lunge from the hotel dining hall. Some random items seem unnecessary and didn't mix well with overall design, but it's ok. It doesn't seem to aim for the boutique hotel decorated space.
Receptionists were nice and accommodating. You may be asked to show several IDs upon check-in.
I like this area with red and strong brown, although the whole area is mishmash variety.
Dining area with TV, often occupied by hotel guests.
Simple, but clean
High ceiling added a bit of grandeur to the lobby.
Welcome drinks, complimentary (iced tea)
Mini lounge area next to the aquarium, with several magazines to choose from. Hallway leads to hotel rooms.
More seating area at the inner lobby. Stairs lead to hotel restobar which opens around 6pm every night.
Aquarium at the corner provides a cozy retreat to guests
Dark chairs and black tables compliment the sparkling lights come night time.
From the street, the hotel can be seen, with some frosted glass decor.
Corridor to hotel rooms
Stairs
Hotel inner courtyard. Very quaint and calm. You'd forget you're in the middle of the city.
A loud bird might be making sounds in the morning or noon, ha! It's not exactly annoying, just a bit loud. But quite amusing.
Lovely courtyard rooms.
Keys were old school, would've preferred a modern, plastic-swiping room key.
Family Economy: Php1750 with plated breakfast for 4 pax
The huge room features 2 single beds and 1 queen bed, TV, en-suite bathroom
closet with hangers and towels
Individual glasses were provided, thumbs up!

Water heater worked well. Since there's no bidet, they at least provided a bucket pail and dipper.
Complimentary soap
Hotel restaurant provides tissues and potpourri per table
