Crown Royale Hotel is an awesome temporary domicile when you're staying a few nights in Balanga, Bataan. It's along the major road Capitol Drive, which is a long, smooth road, lusciously shaded with rows of trees, and directly leading to Balanga Plaza (or the Plaza Mayor de Ciudad de Balanga). We love their updated modes of payment (cash or card) and the no-fuss reservation thru phone (pay upfront, no 50% downpayment).
Capitol Drive is lined with some the city's nicer hotels, as well as Starbucks, nearly-finished Jollibee, The Beanery, banks, spas, etc..
The hotel lobby is warm and bright. I love the wide space, clean and shiny floors, and ample seating areas.

A 2-step stairs leads to resto entrance.
The hotel frequently accommodates events in their halls or ballrooms (never got to see those), so be wary with the rush of guests during peak hours (check-in and out times)
Not to worry as there's a thick double-door leading to the private rooms. Once you step in, the noise reduces 80%and you won't hear the parties or events nearby.

The large room certainly gives you more bang for your buck. It's roomy and well-planned.
Bit old-ish design but huge and conveniently provided with bidet.

The in-house restaurant has the same sunny ambiance.
I like that it has the 'standard' hotel look, feel, and make. Not in-between like those 'good-enough-but-more-like-a-motel' or those 'boutique-but-missing-some-essentials".

Remarks:
- We appreciate the good quality of their food. Simple but surprisingly tasteful. Plus serving size can be shared.
- The room was very good, and staff were nice and friendly.
- Room deposit of Php1000 before checking-in, which will be returned upon check-out.
- All in all, highly recommended!
