Lantaw Native Restaurant

Lantaw is known to elevate Filipino dishes, set at impressive locations. We dined at their SRP branch in Cebu, which had no walls and massive wind force. Facing the wide sea, a refreshing sight will calm you and the hard breeze will up your appetite. Variants of wooden materials speak of Lantaw's mission to bring local cuisine to spotlight.

Lovely dining area
We were supposed to have lunch at Lantaw Busay branch. It overlooks hills and offers cool air. But when we called, it was already full and we might end up waiting for hours.
A long ship from afar.
Kare-Kare na Pata: Php190
Tinolang Manok (half): Php175
Fresh Calamansi Juice (hot): Php75
Lantaw in Dumaguete features similar ambiance. Local materials, seaside, garden setting. Although here, they have an air-conditioned dining hall which was fortunate for us as it was raining when we arrived. My uncles gathered themselves by the Fresh Seafood (Paluto) section outside the closed dining hall and picked some fishes, and how they'll be cooked. We probably got 3 dishes by Paluto - including a soup dish, grilled fish.
Paintings of rice fields and local people, the ceiling is adorned with winnowing baskets (used for sifting grains), and half a jeepney next to the kitchen counter.
Their Dumaguete branch is wide and high as well.
 Spicy Prawns: Php290
Grilled fish (paluto): Priced per gram + cooking fee
 Adobong Kangkong: Php90
Fish soup (paluto): Per gram + cooking fee
Grilled Tuna Belly: Php240
